Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is in a share?

The Half Share will have about half the quantity of each of the 8-10 items as the Full Share. Each share also will have access to pick your own (PYO) herbs and flowers. For more information on each specific share and images, please check out our CSA Sign Up page.

How many people does a share feed?

We have multiple types of shares to fit every family or individual. We recommend a Full Share for families of 3+ or 2 vegetarians. For a visual of the quantity of produce in each share, please check out our CSA Sign Up page.

What happens if I can't pick up?

If you can’t pick up your CSA share on your chosen day, please notify Greg via email at terrafaunafarmpa@gmail.com or by phone at (610) 392-6267. If we are notified ahead of time, you can switch to the alternative pick up day for that week. Additionally, you may have someone else (friend/family/neighbor) pick up for you.

What happens if a crop fails?

Both farmers and members are aware that nature and weather will ultimately influence the availability and amount of certain crops. Realizing this we grow over 30 different vegetables and twice that many in varieties to ensure a successful harvest. However, if a crop does fail it will simply not be in the share.

What kinds of vegetables are available each month?

Check out this link Harvest Calendar from Buy Fresh Buy Local of the Greater Lehigh Valley. The green dots give approximate dates of when field crops are harvested in the Lehigh Valley.

What if I don't like something?

You do not have to take it! When you pick up your CSA, you pack your own “box.” This allows you to only take what you want or need.

What if I do not want to commit to a season long share?

We have multiple options for those of you that do not want to commit to a full season share. If you are interested in still being a CSA member (CSA share pickup & exclusive access to the herb and flower garden) you can opt for a peak season share (12 weeks) or a sampler share (4 weeks). We are also open to the public during CSA hours (Tuesday/Thursday 1-7PM, June-October) with veggies and products (cheese, eggs, honey, syrup, etc.) for sale.
