Lots of these red guys hanging on the vines right now!   It looks to be a great week for tomatoes of all shapes and sizes.  We will also be picking our larger traditional red watermelon for the share.   Despite over 6 inches of rain last week they look like they survived well with minimal loss!  Let’s hope they stayed nice and sweet. 😉  All in all, I think the farm looks to be in decent shape right now despite the challenging weather conditions.   One crop that loves lots of water is celery and we are also going to harvest these this week as well.

On the to do list for this week is to keep on getting ready for Fall.  We have a greenhouse full of broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, beets, collards, and lettuce that needs to get planted.  We hope it stays dry long enough for us to get some ground prepped!  We also will be seeding daikon radishes, mesclun mix, and maybe some peas this week as well.  We tried Fall peas about 3 or 4 years ago with very limited success… time to try again right?!?
