Welcome to the 2017 CSA! Our first shares will be ready for pick up next week and they will have strawberries in them we hope!! We picked a handful today already… the earliest we have had ripe strawberries in our 8 years of farming. The really warm April and the past few 90 degree days pushed them right along. We had a few cold nights that hovered around frost temperatures but everything came through unscathed. Along with strawberries, we will have a lot of cooking greens, fresh eating greens, radishes, rhubarb, asparagus, and more. A detailed list will be posted in our blog on Sunday night. Along with the CSA share we will have herbs you can pick. The Nesting Box will once again be stocking our fridge with dozens of their wonderful brown eggs from cage free hens fed all natural, hormone/antibiotic free, Non-GMO corn laying mash straight from their own fields! We also will have chicken for sale of the meat variety. This chicken was raised on grass and supplemented with a certified organic feed. You may purchase them by the whole bird, packs of 2 breasts, a pack of 2 legs & thighs, packs of wings, or soup stock bones. We will also have our own local honey for sale once again too!
Pick Up Details: Remember to bring a bag or box on pick up day! We will also have reusable CSA boxes available. You can “borrow” one from us for $1o a year. At the end of the year you can return your box and we will give you your $10 back! Our farm address is 8141 Valley View Rd Northampton PA 18067. Pick ups are from 1pm to 7pm. If you cannot make it by 7 please call or text us at 610-392-6267 We can pre pack a share for you to pick up after hours or arrange something else. If you are on vacation, you are welcome to have someone else pick up your share for you. You may also switch your pick up day for the week if it helps. Just let us know a week in advance!! Someone will always be here to help you with your share and answer any questions you have about it.
