White Onions

Cucumber/Zucchini

a choice table with:

Eggplant

Carrots

New Potatoes

Scallions

Swiss Chard

And we’ll have the row of the orange and red cherry tomatoes open for pick your own.

Tuesday members will also be receiving sweet corn in their shares as well which will even things out now with Tuesday and Thursday members each having had 3 weeks of sweet corn.  We’ll take a break on the sweet corn now until hopefully Labor Day when we should have enough planted for one last  round for everyone!

At the end of this week on Saturday we’re having another farm event.  This will be your chance to join us for a 45 minute yoga class led by one of our CSA members, Kim Heffelfinger of the Yoga Loft in Bethlehem.   After yoga, the PYO herb and flower garden will be open to everyone.  The event is 9:00 to 10:30, Class size is limited and there are not many places left!!

On the farm, the crew has been busy harvesting thousands upon thousands of onions. We have a gorgeous crop of white, yellow, and red onions this year.   After pulling them from the ground they are then spread out on the greenhouse tables to cure which is where they germinated from seeds the size of a pencil tip back in late February.  It’s a journey!  We’re going with the white ones in the shares first, which are mild, thick and juicy!!
