Well, we are underway! The first pick-up day is a little less than 2 months away.  We had a small window of opportunity last week to begin preparing the ground.  The peas, onions, spinach, carrots, scallions, lettuce mix, broccoli raab and turnips were all planted from seed in the fields. Even some flower seeds are planted. The greenhouse is filled to the brim with starts of all sorts of other veggies!  Some are just waiting for their new home out in the fields once this weather eases up a bit.  The farm is coming to back to life and the “crew” is gradually working themselves back into farm-work shape. We are gearing up for definitely our biggest and hopefully best year ever!

Brian and Andeana stay cheerful and optimistic after planting all day despite the damp and dreary conditions

4 types of kale awaiting transplant out into the field

rows of green plastic keeping the ground underneath in good condition despite the much less then ideal weather forecast for this week
