The final week of the CSA season has arrived, always a bittersweet time for us.  Our bodies will welcome the rest, but we will miss seeing everyone!  Time flies and as much as it seems like only yesterday we were picking strawberries in the morning dew, the time to begin planting in the greenhouse for the 2020 season will be here before you know it.

This picture of our purple kale standing next to a nice looking cover crop gets me excited to make plans for 2020.  I wonder what we’ll plant there next year?!?  We love receiving member suggestions as to what to plant for the first time or even what to plant more or less of.  This year we planted the Long Island Cheese Pumpkin at a member’s request and I am thankful for the suggestion.  We tried the soup recipe posted by Andeana on our Autumn Recipe blog this past week and it was delicious!

The CSA share for the final week will look like this:

Neck Pumpkin

Purple Sweet Potatoes

Cabbage or Cauliflower

Broccoli

Arugula

Spinach

Radish

Choice Table:

Fennel

Winter Squash

Beets

Collards

Chard

Kale

Lima Beans

maybe more

Thank you for your support this season!!!
