When Tuesday members pick up their boxes on October 30, it will officially close out the 2012 CSA season. We do, however, have a few more items of unfinished business. First, our cabbage! It is just now starting to head. If anyone is interested in more than the 1 head they will get this week, let me know and I will contact you when more are ready. The same goes for the kohlrabi. I am not sure why these two are taking so long to grow with the favorable growing conditions we’ve had this fall. Although, things may be a bit interesting early next week with this “Frankenstorm” headed our direction! Truthfully, we really have been blessed all season long with some nice vegetable growing weather.
We had some very nice harvests and a few failures along the way, but we will learn from them and hope to return in 2013 a little wiser for the wear! Thank you for sharing in our triumphs and tribulations and for supporting our small, local farm. We hope to see you back in 2013.
