Despite the cooler temps and dry, breezy conditions we have stayed on track for a May 21st start to the CSA.   Some crops, like the spinach, are really thriving in this weather.  Others, like our tomatoes, are hurting!  Speaking of tomatoes, Heather and I just had a heck of a time covering them up in windy conditions with a cloth fabric for protection from frost tonight.  At one point I was thinking it might be easier to just let the frost kill them all and replant!  Ah, but we perservered and even found time to do a little weeding.   I find weeding to be a good stress relief.  If anyone else out there wants some stress relief they can come to the farm and start pulling weeds!!

This Friday we will be at the Bath Farmers Market from 3-7 for their opening day of 2013.  We will have asparagus, rhubarb, lettuce mix, spinach, kale, turnip greens, and radish.  This is also what the first CSA box of the year will include the following Tuesday.  We will see everyone soon!
