It’s going to be a cold one tonight. Ironically, it was exactly 1 year ago when I included a poem by James Whitcomb Riley titled “When the Frost is on the Punkin’ ” in the blog to go along with the change in weather. Looks like it’s becoming a safe bet that by the second last week of October we will have a hard frost. The CSA share is chock full of items that go well with a frost… even pumpkins!
Butternut / Acorn Squash
Kale / Swiss Chard
Carving / Decorative Pumpkin
Peppers ( harvested just before tonight’s frost)
We will have an end of the year survey on the CSA table this week. Please take one home to fill out and return it the following / final week of the season.
